What we do?
Cool Cat Racing is involved in many
forms of racing. Our Race team runs at most venues is the southeast
from North Carolina to Florida. We run sanctioned events with both
NASA and SCCA though most of our schedule is devoted to NASA southeast
region.
HPDE (High Performance Driving
Events)
NASA-Southeast holds High Performance
Driving Events (HPDE) at permanent road racing tracks on the East
Coast. The schedule will include events at
Roebling Road
Raceway, Road Atlanta,
Carolina Motorsports
Park, Rockingham and
Barber
Motorsports Park.
NASA's driving schools are open to both street and race vehicles, if
piloted by street or race licensed drivers in the United States.
Although these events definitely involve going fast in cars, and they
may take place during race weekends, THEY ARE NOT WHEEL-TO-WHEEL
RACING EVENTS.

Time Trials
NASA also offers Time Trial events,
usually held on the same weekends as HPDE's brings HPDE to the next
level, still offers a safe racing environment, but includes competing
against others via time, you versus the clock, not wheel to wheel
racing, so still safe to run your street car!

Autocross (Solo)
Solo events are driving skill contests
that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling
characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is
designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a
parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than
those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination
of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping
experience. It is like being in a movie chase scene, only you are
holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn!
